Dancers in the Afterglow
The figures dance and cavort in the wake of some great event already lost to memory.
The title for this painting was taken from a novel by Jack L. Chalker (one of my favorite sci-fi writers of that time) that I read back in the 80's. The painting has nothing to do with the story. Upon completing the piece, the title popped to mind as perfectly evocative of the movement, energy and rhythm of the figures and colors.
